5 STEPS TO YOUR PERFECT FIT
Body Geometry Fit enables riders to maximize power, endurance, and comfort. A common saying in our profession is “comfort creates power”. During your personal Body Geometry Fit session, Karrie Ozyuk, our Certified Master Body Geometry Fit Specialist, will assess your individual needs and systematically tailor your bike position and equipment to your body.
1. The Interview
Karrie will discuss with you your riding history, cycling goals, and other pertinent information to understand your needs as a rider.
2. Physical Assessment
Karrie will guide through a comprehensive step by step process to determine the flexibility and dimensions of your body. This involves basic physical therapy assessments for the customization of your bike position and equipment.
3. Ride Analysis
Karrie will visually assess your position on the bike while you ride. This provides additional information to optimize your position and equipment.
During this 15-step process, Karrie will personalize your bike position and equipment choice. In the end, saddle selection and position, shoes, footbeds, cleat position, and handlebar position are all optimized to your body.
5. Follow Up
At the conclusion of your personal fit session, Karrie will provide you with a bike, equipment and cleat measurement report. You will also receive a follow-up list so we can check back after the body has time to get familiar with the new fit. The follow-up is an important time to discuss adaptation to the new position, answer any questions, and provide additional guidance on how to get the most out of your ride.
THE MOST COMPLETE FITTING SYSTEM
Karrie Ozyuk has been practicing bike fit since 2006. She studied at Specialized Bicycle Component University (SBCU) and Retül University. In 2012, she became the 56th Certified Master Body Geometry Fitter (CMBGF) and today is one of fewer than 100 CMBGF specialists in the world. Top industry bike fit professionals guided her in extensive training to complete Levels 1, 2, 3 and Master Fit Certification. This practice has become a passion for her and allows her to assist athletes and cyclists of all levels to achieve their goals. “The real practice and training is working with as many riders as you can, taking the time to resolve issues, work around injuries and get the end result just right,” said Karrie.
Sizing is a complimentary service we suggest for every rider. This is a starting point to get acquainted with your new bike. We will help set the saddle height, saddle for/aft (forward/backward) and reach to handlebars.
Bike fitting is a detailed process to help prevent injury and create power, all while being comfortable. Adjustments are made at the feet, seat & hands to align the bicycle to the rider.
